Felipe Barrichello Bartz debuts in Stock Series

Pipe Bartz is sponsored by Pay4Fun and debuts in the Stock Series access category on 04/23

Felipe Barrichello Bartz, also known as Pipe Bartz, will face a new challenge in the 2023 season. After excelling in Formula 4 Brazil, the 17-year-old will make the transition to a touring car in the Stock Series. Pipe has the support of Pay4Fun, which will have its brand stamped on the driver’s car in prominent positions, on the hood and on the sides.

The pilot’s debut in the new category will be at the Interlagos race track (SP), which will host the opening stage on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of this month.

Pipe will be driving the #24 Chevrolet Cruze, belonging to one of the most winning teams in the category, W2/ProGP, led by Serafin Jr. and Duda Pamplona. The team is five-time champion for teams (2013, 2014, 2017, 2018 and 2022) and four-time champion for drivers (2013, 2014, 2018 and 2022) in the Stock Series.

In an interview with Motorsport, Pipe talks about his expectations regarding the new challenge: “The expectation for the season is very good, but it will be another transition in my career. So, I imagine it will be a year of hard work to adapt to all the news. The car is completely new to me and the category already has many experienced drivers, which makes the challenge even greater. I need to adapt as quickly as possible to have a chance to be competitive.”

As for the support he is receiving in this new stage of his career, Pipe comments: “I am very grateful to my sponsors and my family for this new opportunity in my career and I hope that we can have another very special year with great achievements”.

What is Stock Series, Pipe Bartz category

Founded in 1993 as Stock Car B and later known as Stock Light, the current Stock Series maintained its main mission of developing young talents for the main category of national motorsport, the Stock Car Pro Series.

This season, riders will have even more incentive to participate, with a generous prize pool offered by the organizers to the champion. There will be around R$ 2.5 million in prizes, including money and equipment needed for the winner to compete in next year’s Stock Car season.
